Àlex Reviriego builds a solid solo work where, in an excellent manner, he sketches a pendular triangle in whose vertices he rewrites the three main characteristics that define a musician: the music you listen to, the music you play and the technique you work on that defines you as a performer.
And this triangle is coherent and unheard. With the conviction of someone who has found his own language, is capable of generating a compact, incisive and microscopic series of pieces that resemble a poem collection, where words hide and reinvent new meanings that withdraw from conventional logic.

In Blaue Tauben there are different levels of coexistence and dialogue between an incisive instrumental technique, an innovative timbric exploration of the double bass and a fragmented discourse, but with a telescopic view, where every movement of the bow acts like a knife: where this knife cuts, it opens a new path that leads us to reevaluate our listening. Àlex Reviriego forces us to see his instrument as a microtonal noise transducer.

Blaue Tauben is a double bass suite in eight fragments forming a unitary block, where the duality “acoustic noise-instrumental timbre” and “interpretation technique-recording technique” has been considered, worked on and matured over an eighteen month gestation period. Crystalline is the final result of this research.
